We are seeking a strategic, results-driven Director of Marketing to lead the development and execution of brand strategies for Dole's Foodservice category. In this leadership role, the Director will own the product portfolio for Foodservice, including category strategy, portfolio alignment, product lifecycle, and marketing activation strategy. This position will require a combination of visionary brand leadership, hands-on management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment with both short-term and long-term business objectives.
This role provides flexibility to work in a hybrid environment of home and our Westlake Village, CA office. (Hybrid is defined as 3 times per week in the office).
Responsibilities
Develop category objectives and strategies, using customer, consumer, and competitive market intelligence and analytics to ultimately grow shareProvide input into growth targets and brand/category plans in the strategic planning processDevelop and execute the Annual Marketing Plan for assigned brands/categories, including platform development, activation strategy (e.g., promotions, associations, trade shows, etc.), and executionLeverage the marketing research and insights to inform category strategy and to support the overall monthly S&OP. Working closely with Sales Sector Strategy teams, Finance and Demand Planning to provide a holistic view on assigned categoriesBe the expert on brand/category performance metrics, particularly volume and margin target attainment and provide quantitative analysis and qualitative insights on brand/category performance. Lead, in collaboration with Sales strategy, period reviews showing performance at a category level and sufficiency plans to achieve targetsProtect brand integrity by working within global Dole brand guidelines to ensure consistency across Global and localLead New Product Development strategy and pipeline (Innovation and Renovation) for assigned categories within the overall Innovation plan; develop New Product business case and volume estimate to activate projects in the NPD process and collaborate with Innovation for realization of business casesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve category growth objectivesSupport Sales Sector Strategy teams in developing and executing tailored customer marketing programsIdentify threats to category strategies/equities and barriers to the achievement of performance objectives; recommend mitigating strategies; develop and implement corrective action plansPartner with Foodservice RGM to develop an executable pricing strategy utilizing competitive intelligence, customer insights and dataDevelop and maintain competitive intelligence documentsOther duties as assigned
Qualifications
Experience, Knowledge, & Skills You Bring: 10+ years of brand management experience within the CPG industry, with a focus on the Foodservice segment.Proven track record of managing P&L and achieving revenue, volume, and margin growth.Strong experience in leading cross-functional teams and driving alignment on brand and commercial strategies.Expertise in product innovation, brand activation, and long-term brand equity development.Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to develop and guide junior team members.Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.Proven ability to lead and execute complex projects, with a strong attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.What You'll Need to Succeed:Passionate about a purpose driven careerCultivates respectful and inclusive environments that support employee growth across teamsDrives strategic initiatives and maintains excellence in complex and dynamic settingsEstablishes transparent decision-making and accountability frameworksEncourages organizational teamwork effectively to achieve shared objectivesEducation & Certification:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related fieldMBA strongly preferredPhysical Requirements:Ability to sit and use the computer for extended periods of time; ability to answer phones and use a variety of office equipment; ability to lift 15 pounds and reach overhead.Travel Requirements:20-25% travel is expected

FOR JOBS BASED IN CALIFORNIA:
Hiring Pay Scale: $175,000 to $215,000
