Overview
Prep vegetables for rice processing.
Responsibilities
Retrieve product/components and bring to workstation.Receives all components according to production schedule(s)Informs Lead Person of shortage or overage on product.Opens ingredients for supply to hopper.Shovel ingredients for supply to hopperCompletes all required paperwork for work areLabels products appropriately.Ensures work is done to production standardsMust be able to follow the plant's FIFO (first in, first out) program to ensure that all ingredients are used in the proper order.Performs work safely and in compliance with all government regulationsOther duties as assignedFollow all safety procedures
Employee Safety Responsibilities:
Report all injuries, unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and horseplayUse proper lifting techniquesUse mechanical assistance (handjack, forklift, manlift)Use personal assistance (buddy)Use handrailsUse and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
Qualifications
Prefer High School Diploma/GED Be able to work in a fast-paced environmentMinimum of 1 year of experience in food manufacturing environment or equivalent type of manufacturingAbility to communicate effectively verbally and writtenStrong attention to detail and the ability to work rapidly and with a high degree of accuracyReliableSelf-drivenMinimal SupervisionForklift/Palletjack Certification
