As part of the dynamic Del Monte Foods, Inc. Marketing team, the Senior Brand Manager - Meal Ingredients is responsible for a portfolio of our companies iconic and emerging brands-Contadina, S&W, Take Root Organics, College Inn, and Kitchen Basics. This role is pivotal is helping us strategically lead the pathway to growth on this expanding portfolio of brands.

The ideal candidate is a builder, an individual who has the passion and the dedication to grow their business and team through innovative thinking, collaboration, and hard work. He/she takes a holistic approach to marketing, developing not only inspired campaigns, but also developing amazing products, competitive pricing strategies, and new channels of distribution. He/she leads teams that include multiple stakeholders from within the Marketing department and outside of the Marketing department including Field Sales, Finance, Demand & Production Planning, Operations, and R&D.

Position can be a hybrid role based out of the Walnut Creek HQ office (preferred) or be fully remote and in the following states: AR, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, MI, MN, NJ, NC, NV, OH, PA, TN, TX, VA, WA, WI.

The salary range for this role is: $101,296 - $182,208.



      Set the vision and long-term strategies for a key business unit.
      Lead the development, implementation and evolution of this business unit with cross functional team.
      Own both short-term and medium-term brand strategies from creation through execution.
      Evaluate consumer, customer and competitive trends to inform strategies and business plans.
      Develop renovation and go-to-market strategy in partnership with internal and external partners and cross functional team.

        Planning & Execution

          Lead the development and implementation of the annual brand plans. Deliver both short and long-term share and investment results.
          Drive learning agenda to identify and define initiatives to amplify the growth potential in our brands and multi-year growth pillars. Lead cross-functional teams to bring those to market.
          Lead development and implementation of the annual integrated marketing plans for several Del Monte's equities and product lines including: Contadina, Take Root Organics, College Inn, and Kitchen Basics. Partner with Sales Planning to translate strategies into specific go-to-market tactics across channels and key Customers.
          Partner with Insights and R&D to fill and refresh our long-term renovation pipeline. Partner with Innovation team and R&D to develop our long-term innovation pipeline
          Network with key stakeholders throughout the organization (R&D, Manufacturing, Sales, Finance, etc.) to both manage the work and ensure effective buy-in.

          Organizational Development and People Management

            Select, coach, train, and manage career development of direct reports.
            Manage Brand Managers and ABMs to deliver objectives.


              Influence all P&L line items for the brand, evaluating alternate marketing plans, product/portfolio strategies, pricing/trade promotion plans, and distribution/channels strategies to meet financial hurdles and deliver optimum enterprise value.
              Lead cost savings opportunities where applicable to improve margins.
              Own marketing budget for brands to ensure spending is within budget and properly allocated.

                      Bachelors' Degree in Business or related field. MBA strongly preferred.
                      Strong professional background with 6+ years brand and marketing experience (within CPG, preferably Tier 1 Organization)

                                    Innovation/Renovation experience and prior knowledge/experience of center store food categories is desirable.
